Retail woes - buying opportunities?

It may have gone unnoticed, but several retail companies (or companies that could fall under this category, i.e. the discretionary GICS sector) are >15% below their recent (all-time) highs. Just look at the drawdown for McDonald’s: did we start eating AI chips? 😂
